Education - Teen
You already like art. We want you to really like it.
The Center for the Arts of Bonita Springs has a number of events and programs just for teens. Whether
you’re an artist yourself or you just like to look at cool things that others make, the Center for the Arts
can help you further your interest in art.
Dance
A dance performance group began at the Center for the Arts of
Bonita Springs during the summer 2009. If you are interested in joining the group or for more
information contact the Center for the Arts at 239-495-8989.
Make Art
Take a class at the Center for the Arts. We provide
great scholarships throughout the year. Or, ask your high school instructor to recommend you for
our Mentor Program, providing all kinds of quality art experiences just not available in your high
school art department—like stone carving “a la Michelangelo”, Clay Animation, or Film. Click the
link below for class listings.
Exhibit Your Art
Participate in our annual “Student Showcase”.
Each May our galleries celebrate local high school students and their creativity. Our college
tuition scholarship competition also takes place at this time for high school seniors who plan to
study art on the college level. And, all freshmen through seniors may also compete for scholarship
certificates for classes at the Center for the Arts.
Next year's Student Showcase will be on display from May
6-12, 2011 with an Opening Reception on May 6, 2011 from 6-8pm.
Call us to request information about entering your artwork and
competing in our scholarship competition.
