Approach to Impressionistic Watercolor – Ladd (LAD040524)

Supply List

Students will be introduced to watercolor by incorporating the impressionistic period of art.  The master painters such as Monet and Manet will be investigated to achieve the loose style of watercolor.  Formal compositions will be more casual with emphasis on light and bright colors.  Students will learn the technical aspects of working with watercolor as well as the different techniques used to achieve the finished picture.  Students will be encouraged to work on whatever interests them with individual instruction given. Drawing exercises will be given throughout the session.
