Contemporary Impressionism: Landscape Color & Composition

From Monet to modern, we will tap into the foundation of Impressionism, with a contemporary twist. With a focus on color relationships and loose Impressionistic brushwork known as “broken color,” we will work from still life, landscape photos, and from a variety of Impressionist masters from 19th century and beyond. Build brush-handling and color-mixing confidence through instructor demos, handouts, historical context and plenty of painting studies.
