DEMO: CINDY WALTON, Layering it Up with Oil & Cold Wax-Painting & Techniques

Explore with me the diversity of oil and cold-wax medium while working in an abstract format. Cold wax is wonderful for oil painters to experiment with—using non-traditional tools to achieve texture and finishes like encaustic. This medium has gained widespread popularity, and for oil painters a chance to  explore new techniques. Cold wax offers opportunities to develop layers of introspective and emotional interpretations. This class allows time to explore many techniques that you can use during the class or pull from after you travel home to your own studios. We will work on wood panels and arches oil paper.  As we talk and experiment with abstraction, we will explore more intuitive ways of painting.
