Robert Vandergrift walked with the heroes as a corpsman in WWII and Korea. PTSD caught up with him later in life. It was no match for the love and support of Anita, his wife for 52 years.
Directed by local SW Florida filmmaker Andre Degas, the documentary “I Walked with Heroes” is an important, moving, and honest look at the horrors of war and the power of love and friendship.
