Palette Knife Painting: Palms

Palette knife painting is an exciting way to expressively and boldly paint nature. Explore techniques with the palette knife and mediums to add to your acrylics to help them hold shape and texture. We begin with a large brush and feathering method to create a smooth complementary color underpainting on a 16” x 20” canvas. The perfect contrast to our large palm branches and earthy trunk, which we will paint with the palette knife. The painting is finished with a painted pastel sky. Your painting will be wet when you leave so be sure to bring a box for transport.
