Post Impressionism/Bay Area Figurative-inspired Landscape
Instructor: Kirah Van Sickle
Medium: Mixed Media
Level: All with experience

This 3-day intensive explores the key elements  to  color and abstraction through the lens of Post-Impressionists and Bay Area Figurative masters. Students will complete multiple still life and landscape studies finding inspiration from Van Gogh, Cezanne, Gauguin and an array of contemporary artists. Through historical context, demos and plenty of time at the easel, students build confidence in experimental color and abstract painting techniques. All levels welcome, including beginners who have some basic color and brush-handling experience. Great for the student-artist interested in exploring abstraction and bold, dynamic color. Acrylic, oil, pastel and gouache mediums welcome. Instructor will demo in acrylic.
