This is a one-day intensive focused on the classical method of using three tones: red, black and white to create the illusion of form and atmosphere through tone. A favored method of Renaissance and Venetian artists, this approach to drawing using three colors (“trios-couleurs”) is an important historical aspect of 19th century and modern atelier practice.
